2021 Cervelo Aspero launch

You know we love our Gravel riding and Gravel bikes. There are so many aspects to love about it, because it is some many things to different people. For some they love the opportunity to get away and bikepack ride. For others they want to get off the roads and away from the cars. For some of us, we love to explore and do it on a machine that’s fast, exciting and fun. Cervelo Aspero certainly fits that last statement.

Cervelo have looked at their foray into gravel bikes and the success of the 2020 Cervelo Aspero. Not only was it ranked as the highest selling Gravel Bike of 2020, but also ranked amongst the top dozen road bikes. It was definitely our most sought after and enquired about bike since its launch in July last year. The demand was unforeseen by some but not by us.

We knew it and we made a home for Aspero at our store.

Now off the back of the 2020 success Cervelo have expanded their range to include new models, with a bunch of new exciting colours. More models coming with carbon wheels and we get more options with Shimano’s GRX groupset models.

Lets have a closer look now

Exciting new colours

All new colours for 2021, with each model (except GRX 812 650b 1x) carrying two of the colours per model. These models will come in Black Gold, Carbon Red or Seabreeze Blue. The GRX 650b 1x model will only come in Grey Seabreeze, but don’t forget. You can always customise and start with the frame colour of your choice.

Existing models & changes

Aspero Apex 1, GRX810 & GRX812 (650b 1x) and Force Etap AXS models are back in 2021. Apex1 and GRX 812 (650b 1x) will basically continue with the same spec they carried in 2020, however in new exciting colour ways.

However Aspero GRX and Force Etap AXS do have some changes. Force Etap AXS will get a new set of hoops in the Santa Cruz Reserve rims on DT Swiss DT350 hubs. A great carbon low profile wheel, with the absolute strength that has carried Santa Cruz MTB ranges for years. The Aspero GRX 810 model gets a wheel upgrade to the same wheelset, but that comes at a more than reasonable increase in the RRP.

New Models (plus more on the horizon)

Today Cervelo announced the launch of two additional models to add to the Aspero family. In 2020 we did a number of Shimano GRX Di2 custom builds for our great customers out there. In 2021, a Aspero GRX 815 Di2 model has been added to the range. It comes with the same non-groupset componets as the SRAM Force Etap AXS model, including the great Santa Cruz wheels.

Lets not forget Shimano also has a GRX 600 Series and Cervelo have added an Aspero GRX 600 bike to the family photo. It will come fairly closely spec’d to the Apex 1 model, but comes with the great Shimano GRX 600 groupset.

Two amazing additions to the Aspero family, however don’t be surprised to see some more additions later in the year.

    Hi Folks
I’m thinking of building up a custom gravel bike using a Cervelo frameset and a Campagnolo groupset.. Can you give me a price on a frameset, including the fork, seatpost and whatever else Cervelo supplies with the frame?
    Cheers and thanks
    Doug

      Hi Doug,

Sounds like a cool unique build. Is it the new 13sp Campag Ekar grouppo?

So here is what you get in an Aspero Framset
      – Aspero Frame & Fork
      – Headset
      – Cervelo Thru-axles
      – Cervelo Carbon SP19 seatpost

All Gravel awesomeness that comes to $3400

Key is understanding which colour and size, as I know some framesets are already sold out for 2021. We have some good stock and more coming.
