La bella vita – The beautiful life
That’s what we think when we think of riding the roads and mountain passes in the Dolomites. A region of Italy known for its skiing and snow sports in the winter, the Dolomites has an amazing array of mountain passes for cycling in the spring and possibly one of the most beautiful regions on the planet.
In fact our 2016 tourists are in the region enjoying this cycling wonderland as we speak.
This region is an absolute favourite of ours and a regular on the route for the Giro d’Italia. With so many climbs in this region, everywhere you turn there is a road to the top. The Dolomites mountain range in the Northern Italian Alps with 18 peaks above 3,000 (9,800), and some of the world’s most beautiful mountain scenery including sheer rocky cliffs, vertical walls, long and narrow valleys, led to this being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. Snow capped mountain passes, exhilarating descents into lush valleys, dotted with small towns each with their unique old world charm. What more could you ask.

Stelvio podium – Italy 2014
In 2016 the Giro comes to the Dolomites with several stages including a stage finish right on our doorstep. Giro is a frequent visitor to this region and why not with so many great climbs and picturesque scenery. Climbs such as Passo Pordoi, Passo Sella, Passo Fedaia, Passo Giau and Passo Valporola just to name a few.
The only way to truly know how great this region is for cycling is to join us on our 2017 Giro tour. The details of our tour are released in October 2016, however don’t delay in registering your interest as our tours fill up very quickly.
